Check out http://www.ignitefestival.com it’s a festival that our church started last year. It was three days and over 6000 people attended.

Thinking about starting a youth group in my church and not sure how to go about it! Anyone have some advice?
If you believe that God is calling you to do that – probably the best way is to contact the parents and have a meeting with them and share with them about how you want to go about starting a youth ministry. Start simple. I would think of what you want a student to have by the time they graduate high school and then program to meet this goal. A couple of books to recommend would be SImple Student Ministry and Purpose Driven Youth Ministry. They will get you on the right track as far as thinking about how to start.
